The Storm opened the season in the wind and rain at the 13th Annual Great Frederick Fair YMCA 5K.  Neb Osman'10 placed third overall in the event, with an unofficial time of 16:31, while Ellis Mays'10 placed fourth with an unofficial time of 16:58. Others runners for Mercersburg included tenth-grader Matt Cook at 18:42, 12th grader Tyler Wilcox at 19:23, 12th grader Adam Wechter at 19:59, 12th grader Billy Abrams at 20:16, 12th grader Mark Herring at 20:29, 11th grader Zach Bailey at 20:43, 11th grader Max Baas at 21:28, 12th grader John Richey at 21:43, 11th grader Mike Riendeau at 22:17, 10th grader David Roza at 23:23, ninth grader Allen Irving at 25:17, ninth grader Tom Faison at 26:34, and 10th grader Danny Roza at 28:22.

"Neb has great talent and discipline and Ellis a great capacity for speed. Everyone got to run and all the boys ran well. This is a pleasing first time out," commented coach Matt Kearney.
