Counselor opportunities and director/staff positions are available with several programs at Mercersburg. The application process includes submission of an application, a resume, references, a Pennsylvania Act 33/34 clearance, and a personal interview, which is typically conducted by phone. Note: Mercersburg does not employ summer staff under the age of 16.

The Process: 1. Download the
Summer Employment Application (SEA) and the
Summer Reference Form (SRF).
2. Submit the Summer Employment Application and a Resume, via email, fax, or regular mail.
3. Solicit two references and provide them with the Summer Reference Form. This form must have a valid signature and can be submitted via fax, email as an attachment, or regular mail.
Download the Adventure Camps Staff Application and submit it, along with the Summer Employment Application. You do not need to download the Summer Reference Form.

MACs Junior Counselor Application ProcessMany of our outstanding senior counselors gained experience and confidence as junior counselors in the Adventure Camp programs. Junior Counselors undergo a rigorous training program and work with Senior counselors and campers throughout the summer.
Grade Level/Ages Junior Counselors are typically rising 11th or 12th graders in high school.
Mercersburg does not employ anyone under the age of 16 for the summer.
Candidates who are under 18 years old need to secure a work permit for employment.
Experience/Salary Structure Year 1 No salary, room/board are provided.
Candidates may opt for a seven-week experience as a JC or participate in one session of Teen Adventures and a two-week experience as a JC with MAC and JAC. Candidates pay the tuition for the Teen Adventures session and are volunteer JCs for the MAC/JAC session.
Year 2 2nd Year JC position pays a minimum of $1,400.
1st Year Senior Counselor pays a minimum of $2,000.
High school graduates are eligible to move from JC to Senior Counselor positions.
